Ramni Taneja is an Indian Advocate, a sole practitioner, a litigator and also a transactional lawyer. Throughout her career, Ramni has accumulated experience, accolades and a wealth of loyal clients. Since 1980, Ramni Taneja has been practising law and today she practises as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of India, as well as in the Delhi High Court and all other courts and tribunals in Delhi and in India. Covering litigation and transactional legal work, Ramni also advises in all areas of civil law, commercial law, corporate law, constitutional law and criminal law. Alongside all of this, she also advises clients she works with on transactional issues.

Over the years, Ramni has worked with a diverse range of clients, including multinational companies, statutory corporations, Indian companies and individual clients to name a few. Both Ramni and her team are strictly prohibited under Indian law to ‘approach’ clients. The standards of Professional Conduct and Etiquette issued by the Bar Council of India concerning Indian Advocates are strictly enforced.
Working alongside Ramni to provide clients with a professional, highlevel and an award-winning service is the dedicated team who play a significant role in the overall success of the firm. Both of Ramni’s Administrative Manager and also the firm’s Para Legal Manager are part of the practice’s pivotal strength.

For many, at points in their careers they will have to face and overcome many challenges which may arise along the way. However, for Ramni, her commitment to the legal profession combined with her dedication to the work that she provides for her clients both represent the greatest challenges. Abiding by the rule of law, preserving the dignity of the legal profession and observing the highest standards of professional ethics remain for Ramni the primary pillars of the legal profession today.

Ramni is also the author of the book, entitled, Foreign Direct Investment and Globalisation , published by Eastern Book Company, India in 2014. Her scholarly articles on various legal issues have been published both in Indian legal journals and also in international legal journals.

Moving forward, the future looks bright for Ramni as she continues her onward journey of providing clients with impeccable services, ensuring that she upholds the dignity of the legal profession in India. Ultimately, Ramni hopes to further expand both her business and the services that she offers in the years to come.
