Shakespeare Martineau Advise on RCapital Investment’s in Summit and Hotelcare

London-based private equity investor Rcapital has revealed a pair of growth investment in Summit Mediaand Hotelcare.

Summit Media offers consulting, online marketing and e-commerce services to retail brands including Argos and Homebase, while Hotelcare is the UK’s largest provider of outsourced cleaning services to the hotel industry.

Rcapital said Summit required investment to take its new digital technology services to market, while Hotelcare was looking to increase its aggressive growth following a management buy-in last year.

Rcapital CEO Jamie Constable said of the Summit deal, “We often see great management teams and we often view great technology, but to come across them both in the same company is rare. It feels like we are on an incredible, exciting journey that is only just beginning.”

Speaking about the Hotelcare backing, Rcapital investment director Chris Campbell added, “We are very excited about having invested in the largest business in a sector where we see significant organic growth as the UK’s largest hotel groups continue to move to outsource their cost base.

“We also see sector consolidation in the medium term and are pursuing an acquisitive strategy.”
