After Slow Growth Yelp May Go Up For Sale

Rumor has it that one of the world’s most popular review sites and customer feedback platforms may soon be up for sale.

Reports from the Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal say the San Francisco based company is looking into a sale due to the slow growth and rising cost that they have been experiencing recently. Sources have said that Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. has been drafted in to work with them to find a buyer.

If the rumours are true Yelp could see a wide variety of high profile tech companies and portfolios including Yahoo, Facebook and Google (which also tried to purchase in 2009).

Industry observers generally say that the sale could fetch more thann $3.5 Billion.
