Planet Action Street Arts

Planet Action Street Arts empowers Newcastle upon Tyne by building a scientifically informed, community-driven movement for urban environmental action. Through creative, emotional, and collective experiences, we inspire purpose and agency in everyday people. Each May and June, our Urban Community Garden Art & Biodiversity Celebrations bring residents together for large-scale, art-enhanced planting that supports local food growth and vital insect habitats. Throughout the year, we strengthen environmental connectivity across a coalition of community gardens. Every September, our conference unites science, optimistic art, and personal wellbeing to advance environmental awareness, encourage action, and connect city groups and support new collaborations.
