Second Quarter Update: A 2016 Mid-Year Round-Up

At Soteris Pittas & Co LLC, our lawyers and associates with their combined skills-set and knowledge can provide comprehensive legal solutions according to the clients’ particular business needs, requirements and objectives. As such, we are committed to representing our clients at all stages of disputes, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, in order to secure just compensation and legal vindication. Our corporate and M&A departments provide full-fledged support ranging from formation of companies world-wide to legal support in complex corporate, commercial and finance transactions.

Furthermore, the firm has close links and strong associations with reputable audit firms, private equity managers, and fiduciaries in Cyprus, Russia and the former CIS countries. 2016 has been an exciting year for us so far, especially in Q2. During this time, we were involved in advising a Russian bank on the multi million purchase of the stake in Qiwi PLC, and we also provided legal assistance to high profile land and property developers in the Russian Federation in the structuring their JV in Cyprus.

Alongside this, we also assisted our long standing clients with the SPA transaction involving elements of complex chain of escrow arrangements. We also assisted an American client in a multi-jurisdictional M&A deal through the medium of Cyprus JV
to purchase a stake in a European automobile manufacturer.

Ultimately, Q2 was an exciting time for our business and we are very much looking forward to the rest of 2016 and beyond.
