The Service Dining Rooms is deeply honoured to receive this award, particularly in a year that has seen us recognised with the City of Cape Town Mayor’s Medal for Community Service and as we mark our 90th anniversary. Since 1936, we have served more than six million meals to homeless and vulnerable people. This recognition belongs not only to us, but also to the generations of staff, volunteers, donors and supporters whose compassion and commitment have sustained this work across nine decades.
