StreetVet provides free accessible veterinary care to pets owned by those experiencing homelessness. Co-founders Jade and Sam started StreetVet in 2016 with a backpack of supplies, and it’s grown to include over 500 vet and vet nurse volunteers across 24 locations in the UK. StreetVet has helped treat over 2,800 pets and recognises the importance of the human-animal bond. It launched the StreetVet Accredited Hostel Scheme to help more hostels become pet friendly.
