Romanian Fire & Rescue Support Charity of the Year 2023
<p>Established in 2012, Operation Sabre is a small UK registered charity comprised of a handful of volunteers (serving and retired) from the nation’s emergency services. The charity is formally registered with the UK’s Charity Commission (Charity Number: 1163222) and strives to protect and provide humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable in Transylvania, Romania. This has led to the supply and donation of fully equipped fire engines, ambulances, mini-buses and specialist fire and rescue equipment and uniforms. In addition smoke and fire alarms, together with over sixty tonnes of humanitarian aid, have been donated to countless communities across Transylvania, communities that are now home to some of the two and a half million refugees who have fled the horrors of war in Ukraine.</p>
