Acquisition International - Issue 6 2022 39 Apr22477 Wingates Gallery, a family-owned business, is home to a large and varied collection of Contemporary and Fine Art. From pastel works to handmade sculptures, the gallery has something for everyone, encompassing the diverse and subjective nature of the art sphere. In turn, the gallery, in its crusade to make art more accessible, has earned the title of Most Outstanding Sculpture Artwork Gallery 2022 - East Midlands. Unleashing The Power of Art rt has played an integral role in the lives of many, acting as a tool for catharsis, freedom, and self-expression. It can also be used to put across a message, and in some cases provide a voice to the voiceless. A world without art would be cold, static, and empty. In essence, Art is a fundamental part of society – of humanity. It is, therefore, important to support your local galleries and artists. Wingates Gallery is spread across two locations, one in Market Harborough, and the other in the heart of Leicester, UK. A nationally popular hub for art enthusiasts, the gallery boasts a highly-diverse collection of original art spanning across the full range of fine art mediums. Indeed, the owners, Andrew and Kathryn Cartwright, have filled the gallery with sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and much more. ‘We are driven by our enthusiasm and passion for finding amazing new artists from around the UK and further afield who are creating exceptional, original art at affordable prices,’ Kathryn comments. ‘We want to offer our customers a truly unique selection of artists which are not available as a collection in any other gallery.’ As such, its current collection features esteemed artists like Angus Clyne, Robert Walker, Tony Laverick, Veronika Benoni and Richard Telford. The featured creators work in a multitude of styles and mediums. For example, Samantha Greenhill produces impressive, hyper-realistic, pastel images of wildlife. Whereas Alan Smith creates inviting landscapes built up from oil and acrylic paint. His work is warm – wrapped up in the countryside and coastline – and induces a sense of tranquillity. Moreover, Wingates Gallery offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for clients to view these pieces within their homes prior to committing to a purchase. If the client is located within 30 miles of either gallery, the business is happy to transport and showcase the art in the client’s home in an effort to make the decision easier. In addition, Wingates Gallery in both Leicester and Market Harborough provide a full bespoke framing service of all types of artwork including cross stitch, war medals, sports shirts and memorabilia. Customers have the option to choose from hundreds of quality frames and mounts and can hand over their precious items knowing that they are safe in the hands of the Fine Art Trade Guild certified framing team. Both sites host events throughout the year in an effort to make art more accessible to the public. In 2022, the gallery’s calendar is overflowing with exciting masterclasses, live paint demonstrations, meet the artist events and exhibitions. At Wingates Gallery, art is the priority. It firmly believes that art should be available to the masses and, consequently, each piece within the gallery is reasonably priced. Furthermore, Wingates Gallery’s efforts can be summed up by Chris Pearce’s five-star review, ‘Wonderful service, it was such a delight discussing the art and the artists with the owners. We found two beautiful Caroline Deighton paintings for our lounge. Make sure you check every window, so as to not miss any of the art. Take a seat on the windowsills and enjoy the beauty.’ Contact: Andrew Cartwright Company: Wingates Gallery Limited Web Address: https://www.wingatesgallery.co.uk/ A
