This was made possible by extensive experience. “My career path has been intentionally broad,” she told us. “I began in operational and administrative roles, before moving into sales, training, stakeholder engagement, and leadership positions across the pharmaceutical sector. This has given me a strong understanding of both the commercial and people aspects of the business. Prior to my current role, I led national training and professional relationship programmes, which involved strategic planning, stakeholder mapping, and cross-functional collaboration. “That combination of commercial experience, people development, and strategic thinking has been instrumental in enabling me to lead sustainability as a business-wide transformation rather than a standalone initiative.” The pharmaceutical industry faces increasing sustainability demands, compounded by a complex system of stakeholders, including consumers, employers, shareholders, regulators, medical doctors, and insurers.
