Influential Businesswoman Awards 2026

Influential Businesswoman Awards 2026 | 19 Most Inspiring Women Veterans Advocate 2026 (USA): Brooke Jackson Kahn & Veteran Mental Health Leadership Excellence Award 2026 rooke Jackson Kahn operates at the intersection of non-profit leadership, media, and personal branding, positioning herself as a unique voice plugging the gap between military service, entrepreneurship, and influencer culture. In her role at the head of She’s the Veteran, which she founded, Brooke leads a growing community supporting women veterans through mental health programmes and initiatives based around nurturing connection. More than 2,500 women veterans. The basis for this non-profit organisation came from Brooke noticing a gap in resources, support, and visibility for women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Having served herself, Brooke is aware of the unique challenges these women face. Alongside this non-profit work, Camo Chic Brooke gives its namesake creator a personal brand and a media platform, upon which she can deliver fashion, wellness, and lifestyle content all underpinned by a military identity. This avenue allows Brooke to partner with brands and organisations looking to bring a modern perspective to a like-minded audience who value authenticity and resilience. “I oversee the vision and growth of She’s the Veteran, while also building my personal brand, Camo Chic Brooke, into a growing platform for storytelling, speaking, and brand collaboration.” Throughout her career in this space, Brooke has consistently been told that certain paths were not possible, from pursuing medicine to launching a non-profit. Every ‘no’ became a turning point, pushing Brooke to build a pathway of her own rather than simply waiting to be chosen. It was with this mindset to boot that she established both companies mentioned above. All of this feeds into the way in which women are seen in both the veteran and business landscapes. As Brooke told us: “In the military and in medicine, I began my career in environments where women were often underrepresented and frequently underestimated. That same dynamic extends into the broader industries I operate in today, including nonprofit leadership, media, and brand partnerships.” Actually entering many of these spaces is easier than what it was, and the challenge remains sustaining that presence and being taken seriously at higher levels. However, things are changing, and the ripple effect that is being seen through women sharing their stories and being themselves, rather than what is traditionally expected of them, is driving progress. Brooke commented: “Whether through my leadership of She’s the Veteran or my personal platform, I aim to contribute to this shift – helping redefine what leadership, success, and representation look like for the next generation of women. I am proud to be helping to redefine what a veteran actually ‘looks like’.” Thanks to these initiatives, Brooke’s voice has reached many people across the US, and she has even appeared on the likes of the History Channel and as one of 69 veteran heroes to feature on the bottles of Evan Williams’ American-Made Heroes range of its bourbon. Continuing to drive this impact and improve her reach are the main goals for Brooke, who is looking to grow both the programming and geographic presence of She’s the Veteran and also expand Camo Chic Brooke into a larger media and business platform. Again, the purpose here is to redefine the modern woman veteran, moving beyond traditional perceptions and adding another dimension to traditional identities. A beacon of impact influence, Brooke stands for everything a modern woman veteran influencer can be, with her work across the distinct feminine military lifestyle and veteran mental health advocacy spheres making her more than fitting of recognition through two well-deserved titles in our Influential Businesswoman Awards. Today, Brooke is a founder, speaker, and content creator looking to redefine the woman veteran through a blend of visibility, storytelling and community impact.
