24 Acquisition International - Influential Businesswoman Awards 2023 Apr23526 Best Female Entrepreneurial Coach 2023 (Texas): Jill Young EOS Worldwide is an organisation that enables entrepreneurs to get everything they need for their businesses by implementing a simple set of proven, practical tools. Jill Young is an Expert EOS® Implementer who helps guide business owners to cultivate unified teams that create vision, experience traction, and produce value. The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) works with leaders and their teams to get Vision, Traction, and Healthy. First operating from the Vision standpoint, to get all leaders on the same page regarding who they are, where they’re going, and how they’re going to get there. To do this the company will require Traction, meaning that the entire team become disciplined and accountable to each other. Finally, Healthy means that by utilising all the tools it creates a leadership team that is cohesive, collaborative, and communicates in an open and honest way. Once the entire leadership team is aligned with the Vision and everyone is using the tools that will help them to do the things, they need to do each day to get Traction, and help each team member to become a part of an enduring and Healthy culture. Jill Young is the Head Coach at EOS, creating programmes and offerings to keep its 650 franchisees (EOS Implementers) forever growing, knowledgeable and successful. EOS has over 20,000 companies actively using the tools. In addition, there are over 650 EOS Implementers throughout the world, delivering the system to entrepreneurial companies. EOS wants to grow, create jobs, and make a difference to its clients’ communities and the world. Jill’s EOS practice is located in Dallas, Texas, where she has coached almost 100 companies over the last 9 years, helping them to grow and succeed. Prior to this, Jill was the President of a small CPA firm. Her company was growing its revenue and winning awards, but it just didn’t seem to be growing profit. That was when her friend introduced her to EOS, and she implemented it within her firm with much success. In fact, Jill was so impressed with EOS she decided to concentrate on coaching other companies about how to implement the Entrepreneurial Operating System. When Jill first became an EOS Implementer, she was one of only six women in the world trained in the system. They would joke about how they got the women’s bathroom all to themselves, but in all seriousness, they were longing for the day when more women would join them. While it has never been difficult for women to join the community, and many have done remarkably well, Jill and her colleagues still longed for a different kind of support network. They wanted to be able to connect with each other and offer support in a deeper way. That was why in 2016 Jill started a group known as the Wise Women. The objective of the Wise Women was closer to that of a philosophy club, as opposed to a country club. This group has grown from the initial 6 to now having 3 chapters (with a 4th on the way), and holding events 4 times a year with almost 50 women in attendance. Jill is proud to say this has become a space in which they can go to work on themselves as individuals, leaving them fresh for their client work. Jill’s advice to other women who are looking to succeed in industry is to be curious about everything. She feels it is vitally important that they master both the art of careful listening and asking great questions. The two skills sit together effectively, and combined with intuition enable women to discover what’s going on beneath the surface level. Jill also thinks collaboration is hugely important and recommends that if you can’t find a group of supportive women to collaborate with, create one of your own. It’s much more fun working together, than standing on your own. Her second piece of advice is when faced with an obstacle to overcome, instead of just trying to fix it, ask yourself how you can build on it. This is what helps keep momentum and creativity at the centre of any solutions. Finally, Jill advises women to invest in themselves. Personally, she regularly puts aside 10% of her income for personal development needs, knowing that this is an investment she can always count on. Jill is focused on creating coaching programmes for EOS Implementers that help them to live their best EOS lives. That is, doing what they love, with people they love, and making a significant difference whilst still being appropriately compensated. Helping EOS Implementers to find their authentic voices and gain confidence in the tools they teach, is a massive ongoing project that has the potential to affect millions of jobs, families, and lives. Jill, and her team of coaches at EOS Worldwide, all think it’s worthwhile and want to offer their support to everyone. Alongside EOS, Jill is also an accomplished author having released The Advantage Series which includes The Earning Advantage, The Courage Advantage, and The Thinking Advantage. More information about Jill’s writing is available on her website. Jill supports the community with an annual community event to raise money for the local shelter for victims of domestic violence. Last year they supplied $20K of toys for the women’s children at the shelter, by setting up a fun Saturday morning toy buying event at the local “Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, I learned the advantages of having a clear vision and doing what you say you’ll do, from an early age. I witnessed and participated in the struggles and successes of the family business, and those experiences influenced who I am as a business leader today.”
