Self-limiting beliefs were the biggest threat to her success. “I would find excuses that I could not do something because I was a woman or because I was a mother or because I was a particular nationality,” she tells us. “Whilst I recognize there are prejudices that impact peoples’ decisions to choose me, I persisted nevertheless, and I choose my clients based on the way Business development is not as easy as it seems. My personal journey has been one in which I “get out of my own way” and “always being the best version of myself.” While building AETT into the thriving business that it is today, Indi has raised a family. Trying to maintain balance in my career, business and leadership life is a challenge that many female businesswomen struggle with, and she has managed to do this, thanks to the building of a village of support. “I eventually built out a solution which involved ensuring that I blocked out spending quality time and having great and unique experiences with my family,” Indi explains, “I focussed on not only the things that I had to do but also the person I needed to become as a parent.” Her experiences will soon be available to all in a parenting book, cowritten with a colleague Sandra Davis. The book will focus on how to create win-win relationships between parents and children using a series of tools, assessments and strategies. Indi’s determination to succeed in business is only matched by her commitment to improving herself. Both are lifelong goals that ensure businesses and people don’t become stagnant. Indi is an inspirational figure, due in no small part to the way in which she collaborates with multiple persons in every aspect of her life. It’s little surprise that the key to her considerable success in the business coaching industry is synergy.
