We spoke to Creator and Managing Director Gail Shaw to learn more. ince establishing Gant Innovations in 2009 Gail has been driving the company towards creating even more unique solutions that will help overcome challenges that the technology market currently does not have any solutions to. Having worked with her husband on his construction business prior to creating her own company, Gail had limited experience in the technology and innovations sectors, but she used her vast business acumen and creativity to build a unique and successful company. “Prior to embarking on my journey with Gant Innovations, I worked with my husband in his construction company for 10 years as the Sales Director developing new clients, which lead to more contracts being awarded to the business. Prior to this, I had opened the first Private Children’s Nursery in County Durham, having conducted extensive research and seen an obvious requirement and need. I ran the nursery very successfully for eight years and sold it on as a going concern. Even further back, I worked for 17 years as a Staff Manager, in HR, responsible for 300 staff in Head Office at Marks & Spencer. “Then, in 2009 I began my research for the concept that would become Gantik™ , as I believed there was a requirement for an adhesive product that did not depend on the removal of costly silicone strips prior to use. My research continued for two years, and having found no existing product that would rival the solution I had created, I patented the concept, initially in Europe, then worldwide. The next step was to source the adhesive that would be effective using the unique Gantik™ , process. This stage took S a couple of years, and we now work with one of the largest adhesive manufacturers in the world who have formulated an adhesive solely for the use of. Gantik™ , technology from which all our licensees purchase. Having worked in a business environment for over 40 years overcome hurdles and obstacles, my tenacity and my belief in what I was embarking on with Gantik™ , has taken the business to where we are today, selling worldwide licenses.” As she looks to the future Gail is optimistic that she can drive Gant Innovations to even more success, as she is happy to conclude. “Initially the concept was developed with Napkins in mind, however we have now identified a variety of applications in key global markets, which can be viewed on our website , www.gantik.com .
