Prior to Overstock.com, Mr. Edwards was CFO & General Counsel for Razer Inc., a leading global PC Gaming company headquartered in Singapore, where he led international expansion, M&A and preparation for an IPO. Prior to Razer, Mr. Edwards served as CFO & GC of Skullcandy Inc. and was responsible for its IPO and global expansion. He also served as CFO & GC for BitTorrent, Inc., the original “distributed computing” protocol, and Digital Courier Technologies Inc., a leading Internet payment processing company. He started his career as a lawyer at Shearman & Sterling in NYC, and was a partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in Los Angeles. Additionally, Mr. Edwards holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and received a B.A./M.A. in Jurisprudence and International Business Law from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar. Mr. Edwards also holds a B.A. in economics from BYU, where he was Valedictorian. He has also worked at the White House, and in the United States Supreme Court. Drawing on this wealth of experience, Mr. Edwards has been an early leader in emerging Blockchain technologies.
